Just a few steps from the main train station, behind a gray-framed window front, you will find an excursion into the culinary world of the Far East. The Zurich branch of YumiHana specializes in the import of Korean and Japanese products. In the past, YumiHana also had a snack bar in one corner. Today, you can find daily takeaway boxes and a large selection of authentic food and drinks, porcelain goods, cosmetic products and Korean pop band merchandise.
The store is very bright, neat and clean, and the products are authentic. Some people find the prices exaggerated, but the location in the middle of the city can't be beaten, and the products are of high quality. The selection of ramen noodles is a pleasure. I identified the vegan sustainable ramen soups as my favourite and always take a stock home with me. The range of sake in a separate fridge looks promising and is high on my list. The porcelain on offer is beautiful, worth seeing and, in my opinion, reasonably priced. With salespeople and customers communicating with each other in Korean, it feels like a short trip abroad.
