Tumo park stands out from the common lists of parks for one main reason: it has a beautiful panoramic view over the city and the gorge below. The road itself that takes to this park passes through a bridge (Kievyan) which in its turn has breathtaking views over both sides. Then the park is to the right side of the bridge.
People come here to escape the city noise. Another advantage, for which I often go to this park, particularly in the summer, is that it is much cooler here than in the city center. For people who come here in groups, there are options to play football or volleyball or just sit around the big table and have some celebration. I like the celebrations that are sometimes organized here on the occasion of some old Armenian holidays or another which are now forgotten, yet groups of young people try to revive them.
It is also a great spot for jogging and exercising, including in winter. Dog owners too like this place as they bring their dogs here for some competitions.
