As they were ranked the best Escape Room in Vienna, of course I had to try Open The Door. Admittedly, it's a bit out of the way, but if you were looking for a neighborhood only a few visitors explore, this is perfect for you. The tenth district is colorful, with the city's highest density of > varied nationalities living here > Kebab eateries.
What's the concept? A quick intro to exit games:
It starts with the staff locking you up in a room. You then look for clues with your team and accomplish numerous tasks before the countdown ends. Solving all puzzles will pave your way out. The brainteasers test your problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box. Challenges that unlock access to new items or areas may include word games, detecting patterns, assembling objects, and optical phenomena. Teamwork is key. It sure helps if you are known to connect the dots fast.
Who might get excited about this? Friends, families, co-workers, or a bachelor/bachelorette party pack—anyone looking for a good time with lots of action. The usual number of players is 3-6. In my experience, a group of four is perfect regarding space in the rooms and the number of puzzles per player. At Open The Door, one of their four games is special: the Mummified is designed for two people!
If you consider yourself sharp-witted, you will eventually think of a way to overcome the fun difficulties presented to you in any game at The Open Door.
