As one of the first upscale vegan restaurants in Toronto, this spot is a must-visit! Having opened back in 2016, they’ve really taken the time to perfect the plant-based dining experience. With their wide variety of offerings, there’s something to please everyone’s palette from shareables to sushi or pizza and their famous Planta burger.
The food’s presentation pairs perfectly with the swanky space it’s served in. From botanical wallpaper to their black and white aesthetic, and organic details such as warm wood tables, the decor encourages feelings of serenity.
You can feel even more at peace knowing that your dining here has a better impact on the planet than most places. Other than the obvious of it being plant-based, whenever possible, their menus reflect seasonality and available local produce to reduce their environmental impact. With that same aim, they also attempt to reduce their waste by minimizing disposables, such as single-use coffee cups.
The restaurant is definitely a reflection of the area it’s in, Yorkville, one of the city’s most affluent, with luxury shops and upscale restaurants and bars. One of my favorites is Bar Reyna, with its beautiful back patio and delicious drinks!
