Since I know Tirana pretty well, I am also conscious that the air quality is not one of the best you can find out there. Sure, it is a lovely busy city, but sometimes too much traffic is just too much. In times like these, when I need a bit of relaxing and some green atmosphere, I cannot think of a more exciting place than Dajti mountain. This is THE Tirana mountain and it has been a place for relaxation and vacation since the times of my grandparents’ youth. Luckily, now we have an addition that makes climbing much easier and fun: a cable car!
While slowly being transported up the mountain on a 15-minute ride, the whole panorama of Tirana opens up just in front of my eyes. It is beautiful, though polluted. Once up the mountain, when my family and I visit, we have a choice of many good and picturesque restaurants and outdoor activities, such as horse riding and hiking, or simply we can just sit and have a coffee while breathing some fresh air again.
The whole cable car experience is something that I highly recommend and enjoy every time I get myself into it!
