Bar Noel is hugely nostalgic for me and my family as I know it was my parents' favourite 'watering hole' back in their heyday, and I can really see why. At first, it's very easy to walk by without noticing the entrance, but just know that if you venture down, you will not regret it.
Stepping down the stairs takes you back in time, as not much has changed in the bar since the 90's — and I, for one, love that! The walls are plastered with magazine cuttings from the 80's and 90's featuring everyone from old pop culture celebs to iconic writers and intellectuals. The owners, who have been there since day one, are always warm and welcoming. Although the drinks menu isn't hugely extensive, you will find something you like and feel at home within the four walls of Bar Noel.
Bar Noel is also one of the cheaper options in town for most things, which is another great reason to visit.
If you want to visit a relatively unknown bar that's still easily accessible from the centre, Bar Noel is the place for you. It is positioned right behind Skenderbeg Square on Rruga Murat Toptani, so you really couldn't get much more central!
