Around 10 years ago, there were small shops, markets, and bazaars in Tashkent. However, there were no big shopping malls for entertainment. One of the first-ever shopping malls in Tashkent city is Mega Planet located in the Yunusabad district. The architecture of this shopping mall was also something unusual for Tashkent people. It reminds me of a black box.
The first time I visited Mega Planet, I concluded that Tashkent was eventually developing at that moment. It was all modern: free parking area on the ground floor, a big grocery shopping mall in the first floor, the second and third floors were occupied by international clothing brands and the fourth floor was all about cafes and restaurants. Besides all that, there are also playgrounds for kids.
I used to visit Mega Planet every weekend with my family until other entertaining shopping malls were built. But I still have a special attraction to Mega Planet because there are so many memories connected to it.
