Calling all Beer drinkers! This is your special spot in Stockholm. Beer and just beer. We have an expression in Swedish when we ask for a pint of lager: "En stor stark". Loosely translated into English, this means "A Big Strong" - coming from that, we have different kinds of alcohol levels in beers, and the "strong" is the highest level.
Often the "stor stark" is the lager of the house, maybe the lowest in price too. At Oliver Twist, they will throw you out if you ask for it. This pub has specialized in a lot of different kinds of breweries. Both local and international. You need some time just browsing through all the good stuff in here. They always have 24 tap beers and over 200 different bottles. Oliver Twist has been serving beer and great food since 1993 and worked with hundreds of craft beer makers and micro breweries.
On Södermalm, where this pub is located, you'll find some microbreweries, and their beers can be found here. I like the ones from Nynäshamn Ångbryggerier called Bedarö Bitter, it has as its name say a more bitter taste to it than a regular Swedish beer. This spot is very popular through the weekend, and if you want to eat, book a table. Have fun!
