It took me years to realise that what I needed for my hectic life as a tour guide was right under my nose.
Tucked a stone throw's from the Opera, this cute family-run café meets more than one need of the people who like to spend their day wandering around - in other words: they have safe locks to store heavy backpacks/luggage and enjoy a city walk without breaking your back.
In all honesty, though, what brings me here almost on a daily basis is the quality of the service and the friendly attitude of the staff. The second thing is their coffee: delicious. Not only have they selected lovely blends, but they are real latte artists. I drink almond milk, which requires some skills (and tons of patience!) to make a creamy, full-bodied cappuccino. These guys know the trick, and they serve it with beautiful smiles. They also make a lavish chia pudding, and they took the time to teach me how to make my own (theirs is still better!) The guys behind the counter are brother and sister; their mum is the chef, and Árpi - the host - is simply the best host ever!
I love to be acknowledged, and when I step into Lion's Locker I feel that I can breathe, be myself, sit down, and do my writing work while indulging in a cappuccino...or seven! Their breakfast dishes are among the best in town, everything is made with care, and with the secret ingredient of love.
