Betahaus is a coworking space. They say that 'work is no longer a place'. That is more and more true after COVID-19 and not only for the so-called digital nomads. Even if you have an office (or two, including the home one), this is a great option for a change of scenery.
People who need to work during travel can rent a desk (many freelancers and startups have already done that). The best thing is that the first day is free, so if you are just passing by Sofia, you may book any of their four locations and test them. If you stick around longer, the best option is their LIGHT plan where you can have 30 visits in 3 months with 24/5 access to all of their places. Coffee (quite well selected) and tea are always included.
For travelers, the central locations are the best - Slaveykov square (see address) and Shipka 6 str. The first one is my favorite because you have a spectacular panorama of Sofia, including Vitosha mountain. The second one is in the Union of Bulgarian Artists building, so you can combine it with an exhibition visit. They are also opening in two well-established business districts.
Sometimes they organize events as well. One event you should definitely be on the lookout for is their birthdays. Yes, plural, like more than one per year. The best thing is that they often celebrate half-birthdays so there's a huge party every six months (usually at the beginning of June and December).
