I love Queen Anne Avenue North. It has a great mix of local boutique shops, bookstores, coffee houses, hair stylists and restaurants. There is a Trader Joe's and a Safeway and a farmers market on Thursdays in the summer months from 15:00 - 19:30. Robert Ramsay Cellars is a wonderful spot to pop in and enjoy a few glasses while getting to know the varietals from the winery based in Woodinville.
The spot is a little hidden from the outside, but has a warm and inviting ambience on the inside. There are red walls and a chalkboard with some of the nicest handwriting you've ever seen.
The menu consists of wine flights from 3 for $10 or 5 for $15. You can also do glass pours. Mouvedre is my favorite. I also enjoy the cheese plates.
We really like the manager Sue's demeanor. When we were new to Seattle, she greeted us warmly and shared her knowledge about the industry. We at once felt at home. And it's no wonder. The place is dog- and baby-friendly. We kept our sleeping baby in the stroller and enjoyed our mid-afternoon wine.
It might be in your interest to also become a club member and receive discounts on flights, bites, glass pours and bottles.
Enjoy this cute little spot for a friendly wine tasting.
Tip: they play live music on Friday.
