The location of St. Petersburg is the reason for its heavy rainy and windy climate. At the same time, the city is located on the shore of the Finnish Gulf which is a part of the Baltic Sea. It gives a unique chance to enjoy white nights in the summer and very picturesque sunsets. From time to time, I like to enjoy that in the park of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg.
It’s located in the north-western part of the city. Now it’s easily possible to get there by subway, as the new station “Begovaya” was opened near this park just before the World Cup 2018. The park itself is a large open territory with a spacious beach, shady alleys and fresh sea air. There are a lot of flowers, lime trees as well as apple trees which have been presented by the government of the Finland’s capital Helsinki, and much more. There are also a swimming pool and a great number of fountains. Rent a bike or a segway transporter, play volleyball or just enjoy the romantic sunset on the beach with your loved one.
By the way, also in winter, if the park is covered by snow, it turns into a magic winter land which offers a lot of opportunities for active sports, leisure and a beautiful panorama to the Gulf covered by ice.
The park also offers free WiFi on its territory, so we can share our experience in the park with others!
