Vegetarian and vegan corner
Makrovega's Healthy Food Restaurant is located in Rijeka's city center with a great offer of macrobiotic and vegetarian dishes for lovers of healthy food. You can create your own meal or you can choose a daily menu, enjoy healthy desserts such as pancakes and various cakes and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices (beetroot, carrots, celery, spinach and apple juice etc). Located on the first floor of a building, it has a capacity for 24 people, but if you do not have the time or you prefer treating yourself outside, you can buy and take your lunch away.
Some of the choices include vegetable dishes, tofu, pomegranate, various pizzas, soups, lasagne, moussaka, cereals and vegetables fritters, pies… One of my favourite dishes here that I always eat is definitely the falafel made of always fresh vegetables. I highly recommend it. Also, a portion costs less than one euro.
There are various lectures, workshops, meditations, book promotions held in the club, and different information about alternative events in Rijeka and beyond can be obtained. Makrovega promotes the protection of animals and their rights and they work according to those principles.
