My favourite place in Prishtina is Gërmia, the national park. Although it's close to the centre, a trip there turns into a whole-day affair. A part of the experience is getting some food, and while all the restaurants there are really good, Soma Slow Food is special in that it serves only traditional food made from local ingredients.
There is a good selection of dishes on the menu to choose from, and there are two curated menus to get the best of everything, called From Land & From Sea, depending on the preferred main dish (meat or fish). Their drinks and cakes are a delicious addition to the meal as well.
Along with the food, this restaurant is in the middle of the forest and has an incredibly beautiful design both inside and outside. There are high ceilings, large windows, and fairy lights, so the proper description would be: It's straight out of a fairytale. They even have a corner filled with books, dishes, prints of traditional patterns, and wooden steps just like the ones in Beauty and the Beast.
Another treat is that it's at the starting point of some hiking trails, so if you're feeling adventurous, exploring them is something I really recommend. If you happen to have about 4 hours and a particulary adventurous spirit, you might even want to walk the 15km to Badovci Lake.
All in all, Soma Slow Food offers the perfect food and scenery combo that you most likely don't want to miss out on.
