This little market is located on the riverside of Gaia near the chair lift and near the Porto wine cellars. I was there last summer, on a sunny day, and there were a lot of people inside and outside out to taste some of the flavors that this market offers. I really like this type of market where I can find several types of food, different products, and where I can have an original, different meal. It is a traditional Portuguese market, but because it is located in a touristic place it appears to be very touristic.
There's great variety of restaurants, fruit shops, stalls, and wines. I really recommend the pork sandwiches, the hamburgers, and the chocolate cake callled brigadeiro. Outside the terrace it's possible to have a look at the beautiful landscape.
Sometimes there are also vintage fairs taking place here.
