Salumeria Caprese is one of those tiny places where you can feel you are having lunch at home or at your grandma's place. Those two Italian ladies run a small but modern and stylish shop where you can have an honest and simple Italian lunch. Pizza al taglio, pasta of the day, lasagna, fried chicken breast, different salads, authentic mozzarella di buffala, or their homemade sweets which range from the amazing crostata to the creme caramel, will be the best option for a simple yet filling lunch at a decent price in one of the most expensive areas of the city.
Hidden at a back street from Avenue Kleber, which goes from Trocadero to Arc du Triomphe, Salumeria Caprese is a nice place to stop on a busy day and also a favourite with the white collars that work in the vicinity. They have some fix formulas, for pizza and dessert, pasta of the day and dessert or main dish and salad. their coffee and the olive oil that they put at your disposal are excellent. It is also a very good place to buy some takeaway that you can eat at your apartment or hotel room while you go over the day's experiences.
