I like to go for a walk in town on Fridays after work. Οne day I decided to take my favorite stroll by the river, as the day had been warm and nice. I entered this barge that has been transformed into an informal bar for drinks and tapas.
I was really pleased by the atmosphere of the place, which was full with people either standing by the barrels used as high tables with glasses of beer or wine, or sitting at the long communal tables with benches, enjoying some tapas, Spanish-style. I recommend the canned fish which is offered -- the sardines were delicious.
You need to approach the counter for some snacks, salads, wine or beer, served by friendly and smiling staff. After 21:00, a DJ appears and part of the space becomes a dancing area. It can get very busy at that time. There is no possibility to book a table. Plenty of people of all ages. It makes for a delightful evening!!
They are currently doing some renovation work on the boat. While those are finished, they have opened a temporary space on the bank (a ship container has been transformed into a kitchen), where you can have the same food and even wood oven baked pizza in a similar environment. Really pleasant on those spring days.
Access through Concorde bridge or Alexander III bridge (right bank of the river). Prices are average for Paris (1 pint=6€). Sunday brunch 11:30 - 15:30, 27€.
