The Palais de Tokyo is one of our favourite spots for contemporary art, but it is also well known for its restaurant, which changes its layout and theme frequently. In recent years, we've gone from the futuristic Tokyo Eat to the classy Les Grands Verres and now it has become an Italian eatery called Bambini.
The place is decorated in bright colours and boasts nice tables overlooking the industrial interior with a view (from some of them only) to the Eiffel Tower. For the moment we can only enjoy the terrace which on sunny days is full of a festive atmosphere of good looking and sophisticated people eating delicious pasta dishes and antipasti.
I must confess that my favourite is coming here to drink my Aperol Spritz and enjoying the view of the crowd talking and eating eagerly after many months of forced limitation. The terrace has this beautiful view of the Seine river and will give you the real feeling of spending time in a relaxed environment. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.
