SALT has been a great addition to the cultural scene in Oslo. It is a combination of art, music, food and then they offer different kinds of sauna opportunities. The common factor is a love for the arts, culture, and the ocean trying to make a conscious and sustainable meeting place to share relations, thoughts, and missions. I mostly come here with friends to check out a concert, a play or just to have a bite to eat from one of the several streetfood places they have lined up. The food shops are called Treeat, Kain, Go'Grilla, and Lille Åland, and can also be ordered through Wolt. My favorite is steam buns from Kain - a taste of the Philippines for dinner. Yum, yum, give me some.

Having lived in Denmark, I think SALT offers a bit of Copenhagen in Oslo, and that is a great thing. A relaxed atmosphere outdoors, using the location as it is by the harbor and known for the characteristic pyramid constructions that can be seen from far away along the shore in Bjørvika. It doesn't cost anything to get into the area and you can visit the outdoor service for a beer or have some food. The place hosts a number of different events and acts on a total of 7 different scenes, check out the website to see if anything is going on. Each event will be priced individually. The relaxed atmosphere though on a weekday evening is priceless.
