MTA Times Square Station Art
I feel off-put by this slightly spooky series, because I sense in the figures too much of coldness and expressions of professional enthusiasm, deepening my sense of loneliness and/or isolation. Though some groups are depicted, there is so much space between revelers that I feel uncomfortable. I'm more comfortable with 'The Return of Spring/The Onset of Winter', elsewhere in this station. I usually walk on by Revelers only side-glancing to admire, not stopping.
Mostly located in the transfer corridors between the BMT and IRT Flushing Line.
There are five other installations in this station one each by Jacob Lawrence, Roy Lichenstein, Toby Buonagurio, Blackford and Fisher and Jack Beal and it is a challenge to find them all.
