Gardening is one of my many passions but also a necessary activity in order to get real food on my table, which is a rarity with all those GMOs around. This magnificent market is the extension of my garden and shopping for fresh veggies and fruits is a delight for those who cherish a healthy nutrition. Of course they sell products from all over the planet but also a lot of local goodies, from wild asparagus to organic corn.
The market is covered so rain or shine it's on. It's also surrounded by some of the best shops that sell meat, fish, cheese, patisseries and more. There is also a great variety of land plants and flowers which is perfect for your garden; it's the perfect place for my botanical needs. But wandering through the colorful alleys of the Jean-Talon market is also a sensorial experience and a way to make a trip around the world of goodness.
