If you like '80s, '90s, goth and rock music, this is the place for you in Mexico City. A couple of years ago the Unión de Trabajo Autogestivo Bar was a place for goth meetings and it has evolved into a place for a mix of urban tribes.
Having its own emblematic atmosphere, it's a big old house that preserves its original front. Inside there are like 4 different rooms on 2 floors, each one playing different music almost all the time...
On the first level, the party in the main room starts at around 23:30 - at that time you get possessed by a dancing spirit. If you get thirsty, beer costs around 40 to 55 pesos. You can even drink some wine if you want to feel like a vampire drinking some blood, and it's also cheap - around 160 pesos.
The entrance is 40 pesos if you get there after 20:00. Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to come and let yourself flow with the music, from And One to The Cure or Blondie.
Don't be afraid of how the street looks at night - there are a lot of bars in the area. However, if you are from other countries, please do not walk with your cell phone texting in the streets as if you were Little Red Riding Hood - this applies to all of Mexico City.
