DIY-venue Plan B has fought for its existence since its establishment, and the place has faced threats of being shut down several times. Local authorities have been giving them a hard time due to different requirements concerning alcohol licenses and safety regulations. Luckily, Plan B figured out a plan B, and the place is now looking greater than ever. Plan B moved to another side of the Norra Grängesbergsgatan from its original basement venue, and they reopened in spring 2019 with a new green patio area. The club has finally gained approval among the authorities concerning the required alcohol licenses, and now Plan B has turned into a proper cocktail bar.
The venue hosts both international artists and local uprising talents from various genres, and there is something going on almost every night. You can just come and hang out in the terrace area, grab a drink and a vegan hotdog. The entrance to the patio is free, and ticket prices to concerts are very reasonable as well. Plan B is my plan A for a night out in Malmö. The venue has changed a lot from the original basement it used to be, but the DIY spirit is still there, which makes this place so original.
Plan B is located a few minute bike ride away from the hip area Möllans, and you can also reach the place with bus lines 5 and 35.
