Arrive and secure your spot in the queue, because there always seems to be a queue at Yatai Market. This place is busy! Finding a table here during peak dining hours is tough, so roll up your sleeves and brace yourself!
The first of its kind in Spain, Yatai Market brings the best of Asian street food to the heart of Madrid. As you enter, rows of food stalls line this cool industrial space, and stepping in here is like being transported to the bustling food markets of Seoul or Tokyo. A DJ spins the tunes while you are hit from every angle with aromas that will make you start to salivate.
Besides finding a table, making a decision will be the hardest thing you will do at Yatai Market because there are hundreds of different, equally tasty items on offer. From Korean fried chicken to Japanese Ramen, Thai curry, and Chinese baos, all served up in cardboard bowls, it’s fun to hop from stall to stall, trying a little bit of everything or just choosing one favourite. A craving of Akma’s fried tonkatsu hits me regularly!
Open all day, Yatai Market is also a fantastic place to meet friends and have a drink. You can find all of your favourites here, but instead, why not try a Singaporean beer or a Japanese soda? Delicious food, unique drinks, and a lively, fun atmosphere make Yatai Market a great lunch or dinner spot. Enjoy a trip to Asia without leaving Madrid!
