This is the kind of bookstore I thought only existed in dreams. I get chills every time I walk into this place, as that old book smell overwhelms me. Every corner of it deserves a look. I’m a fiction lover but this store is so special, some of my best buys have been from the music and film section, as every area is filled with pleasant surprises and rare finds that will make your trip. The main floor also features a vinyl selection, plus some vintage armchairs and a sofa so heartbreakingly beautiful, you’ll hesitate to slouch on any of them to further flip through that potential purchase.
Once you enjoyed the main bookstore area, make sure to head upstairs and marvel at the incredible décor and art pieces on the second floor. This is where The Last Bookstore separates itself from all other shops. I won’t spoil the fun, so just make sure to take a good look all around the “book labyrinth,” and see if you can find a hidden gem among the tens of thousands of $2 paperbacks. Also on this floor is a small art gallery, featuring paintings, antiquities, and some unexpected relics. Don’t be alarmed if, by the end of your visit, you feel like you’re coming out of a dream. This place is that magical, and somehow real.
