Before you embark on your beach day (see Santa Monica Rings and Singing Beach Chairs articles) or Third Street Promenade shopping spree...take a moment to take it all in. Along 2nd Street in Santa Monica, you'll find three tall parking garages (Parking Structures 2, 4, and 6) with free 90 minute parking.
Even if there's parking on a lower level, go ahead and park at the top...or take the stairs/elevator up, because the view you're greeted with is worth the extra stop. Take a breath, take in the sights and get an overview before heading back down on your glorious beach adventure.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this could be a convenient place for you to park. The first 90 minutes are free, then you are charged $2.00 plus, depending on how long you stay. The daily maximum is $20.00 on the weekdays, and $25.00 during the weekend.
