As a young girl, I lived my dream of becoming a ballet dancer. Long story short, I grew up the furthest away from dancing as possible, always claiming I would never dare to go back on the maillots and point shoes ever again. But Kelly Maiolle had a different plan for me, when she moved her dance studio (Stage Center Maiolle) to Alcântara and made me fall in love with it.
I reached out to Kelly to try some dance classes - never ballet! - but was quite shy about showing up, so I postponed it quite a few times. Until one evening, still very undecided about crossing paths with dance ever again, Kelly warmly welcomed me into her studio, put the music on and brought me back home during a jazz dance class. When I left... well, I just didn't want to. So I went back to a classic ballet class.
Stage Center Maiolle is a two studios dance school for young people or grown-ups, with or without any dance knowledge or experience at all. It is, also, definitely for anyone who loves dance and eager to be part of a very diverse family.
Being talented or not is no obstacle, because passion is what moves the teachers and apprentices at Stage Center Maiolle. Perfection will follow.
