Makoto in Japanese means "sincerity" or "truth" and Dojo stands for "temple". Makoto Dojo isn't just a gym, it's an Oriental style self-development center where people can practice different types of Oriental teachings, such as aikido, yoga and meditation. There are also regularly meditative musical concerts and sound therapy classes with the usage of ethnic musical instruments, drums, bells etc. Besides regular studies, every weekend Makoto Dojo organizes different events, lectures or meetings. All the news is on their Facebook page (in Russian or Ukrainian, of course).
I like the place. These guys just created a DIY project, restored an old industrial hangar to a nice, cozy and airy location. Also the place looks very arty thanks to a friend of mine, Sasha, who decorated the premises with her murals and paintings.
So if you want to keep practicing while you're on a trip or join the group meditation with good relaxing live music - you know where to go!
