Having a cup of cup of good coffee in the morning in Krakow's city centre is one of the best ways to start my day. Yellow Monkey ticks all my boxes as it is small, serves speciality coffee and has the most friendly staff. In addition to all that, I would like my apartment to look like it if I had time for a renovation.
Colorful jungle-themed wallpaper, an abundance of plants, bamboo light covers and vintage furniture with pops of colour - all that tied together with the smell of freshly grounded coffee. Even though the cafe is petite, the additional mezzanine level provides some extra seating space.
The people working here are always smiley and accommodating and can help you choose the right coffee based on your taste. Lately, I have been loving the Ethiopian coffee beans brewed on a drip and a good old classic chocolate chip cookie on the side. On most days, they also offer vegan options of cakes and biscuits.
The cafe is located only a 5-minute walk from Wawel castle so don't hesitate to grab a coffee here after visiting Krakow's most popular site. :)
