Maezae is my must-visit place whenever I am in Karakoy. I can just spend hours and hours in this lovely local design store and I always find it so inspiring on each tiny detail.
Since I am so passionate about jewellery design, I like to see my favorite local designers' new work here. Especially Yuka's and Mihanikidesign's work is amazing.
There is lots of other great stuff too, like handbags, sunglasses, dresses, books, handmade or vintage jewellery, etc, and by local-based designers. It is a great place to shop and buy presents for your friends or family back home.
Maezae arrange workshops in the store. If you are planning to stay long in the city, you may attend one of their workshops while you are here. I'm sure it'd be a nice experience to meet with people and do something different and feel like a local. You can check their monthly event programme if you are interested in any subject.
Maezae seems more active on their Instagram account. Please check their account or email them at hello@maezae.com
I hope you enjoy it!
