Vino Valentino is a tiny wine bar that's tucked away off Byres Road in Glasgow. This is the perfect place I fancy to visit with my partner or a group of friends as an alternative for a pub, particularly for an aperitif before dinner.
The spot is cosy and intimate and feels continental. A big wooden table stands in the middle of the place, which makes it favorable for conversation with strangers. If you prefer, there are also two small separate tables with stools, suitable for a maximum of two people each.
They cover a big range of Italian regions, so it gives you a good opportunity to discover a variety of quality wines for a favorable price. We generally like to take the open wine tasting menu, which includes four wines of our choice from the barrel and a small platter of cheese, cold meat or vegetables (for £27). You can also buy by the glass or the bottle, or else refill your own bottle to take away.
Alternatively, special tasting evenings can be booked for between 8 and 12 people. It's all up to you!
Highly recommended!
