I don't drink coffee, but I love the smell of it and I love the atmosphere of coffee bars. Simon Says is more than just a coffee bar. They offer breakfast, lunch and great cakes and they also run a B&B. I've never slept there, but if it's as good as the bar, it must be a nice place to stay.
Simon Says is housed in a great building, constructed in 1904 by a famous Ghent architect Geo Henderick. If you love this kind of architecture, there are many buildings of Hendrick to discover in Ghent. Inside the bar you can find drawings on the wall of the contemporary Belgian artist Panamarenko.
Coffee-lovers claim this bar serves the best coffee in town. I stick to their fresh mint tea and their delicious carrot cake. The atmosphere is cool, relaxed and vivid at the same time and the music is great. If you don't like the building, coffee, tea, cakes, etc., then just visit them for the cute bartender and the wicked girls!
