Sunny Side Up has just been around since the end of 2019, and the couple Dennis and Ana Maria have managed their community so well even throughout the pandemic that they could recently open a second location in Frankfurt's Nordend (Gluckstraße 21).
I suppose it's a mixture of several ingredients: First, their very light store interior - white, yellow and wooden table tops - that make you feel like you're on vacation at some sunny place lighten your mood up a few degrees right away.
Second, their healthy and playful food and drink selection from sustainable, organic local partners which includes plenty of vegan and gluten-free offerings. Try a Blue Coco Jambo bowl for breakfast that goes with a butterfly pea latte (great coffee, by the way!) if you feel like having some blue shades on the table, for example. The sourdough bread with different toppings or weekly changing bowl variations and curries are a great choice around noon- by the way also as a to-go option for a lunch date at Rothschildpark just across the street.
Third, their very attentive and friendly staff is doing a fantastic job, even during quite busy lunchtimes or weekend brunches.
One further relevant point is their constant interaction on social media, especially Instagram. When the kitchen team is trying out new recipes, they are involving their followers in the decision for the next new product on the menu. I truly recommend having a closer look at their Instagram- although you might get an appetite right away!
