Ararat - Le Bracerie is a very small restaurant in a Northern neighbourhood of Florence called Novoli, situated not far from the centre. The place is run by a real Armenian, who really cares about hospitality and welcomes every new customer with a glass of strong bloody-looking Armenian red wine.
The food offer is not wide and does not include anything else but meat of different kinds. But the food tastes very good and the owner is always there, guiding the customers' choice like he did with me. He explained the difference between the dishes to me, which one was more traditional and which one was so.
Definitely, this is not the place where I would take a vegetarian friend for dinner, but if eating meat is not a problem for you and you feel like having an "exotic" experience, then Ararat, with its relaxed furnishing and the quietude of a tourist-free area, can be a good solution. At least, it was for me...I'm already looking forward to eating there again!
