As you can see from the reflection in the window of my photo the Manna House Bakery in South Queensferry is unbelievably situated in a prime spot for looking out on the stunning Forth Rail Bridge.
It's new to the village and is in the process of establishing itself which has meant some variable experiences in the early days (including my own) but it has found its feet and offers by far the best eating experience in the centre of South Queensferry.
Value for money is exceptional with their home made bread (delivered daily from the mothership in Edinburgh's Easter Road) the star of the show. I absolutely LOVE the sourdough baguettes with egg mayonnaise, rocket and vine tomatoes. My wife loves the chicken with marmalade.
Daily soups are always home made and delicious.
They even offer free fruit, at the table reserved for babies and dogs!
Scones are to die for, especially the cheese scones which at 75p are ridiculously cheap compared to city prices.
It's the perfect spot for lunch after a day's sightseeing in the beautiful suburb of South Queensferry.
