If you happen to visit the neighboring Memorial Park (which you really should consider doing), then why not treat yourself to a little walk in the surrounding slice of nature afterwards?
Edged between Memorial Park, the train tracks, and a residential neighborhood, this is a lovely little oasis. There’s a small lake, and if you’re lucky, you can catch a glimpse of the residing heron. Depending on the season, you might also meet a few sheeps or horses in a pop-up enclosure.
People are enjoying this patch of nature year round, and you’ll almost be certain to meet at least a few joggers and bikers, a tired parent trying to walk their baby to sleep in a stroller, or folks simply taking a break on one of the benches. There are several designated spots for campfires, making it a popular place for picnics in the summer.
From the park it’s just a short walk to the ocean at Tuborg harbor, and since it’s located right between Hellerup Station and Ryparken Station, it’s easy to include on your to-do-list of Copenhagen adventures.
The nature park is always open, and it's (naturally) free.
