For some reason the area around any central bus or trainstation are always quite empty of good bars and restaurants, right? It's pretty much only junk food and over-prized bars and bad restaurants.
That's why I feel like giving you a good tip on where to go within a few minutes from Copenhagen Central Station, maybe while waiting for your train, a delayed transfer or just for the fun of it.
So Library Bar is a hotel bar, hidden very well behind the hotel lobby.
Literally across the street from the train station lies Hotel Plaza. Pretty respectable place as far as I know and for sure the bar is certainly an advantage to uphold this good reputation in my opinion.
First of all, it's got a beautiful old classic hotel lobby with polite receptionists, ready to point you towards the direction of the darker entrance.
When entering you'll find the setting pretty authentic and historical (from 1913). With the wooden bar (as you see in the picture above), the piano man playing some slow jazz, the bookshelves all around the room and the comfortable Chesterfield chairs, everything just screams for a good cocktail or a whisky on the rocks.
I believe it's worth a visit for anyone. If not for a drink, then at least just for the small excitement of entering a hidden spot.
