Delicato is a food wholesaler that sells high quality Italian products such as cold cuts, bronze-cut pasta and oil. Some of their products are obviously aimed at restaurateurs (e.g. whole wheels of Parmesan or legs of pork), but there are also many products for individuals, such as one of my favourite wines: Vietti Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne from Piedmont in northern Italy. Delicato also has an eye-catching fresh fish and seafood counter that makes you want to buy everything. They also sell Greek products (e.g. honey, sweets, wine). For orders of €30 or more, they deliver all over Germany.
But Delicato is not only a great grocery store; it is also a kitchen bar! At their bar, you can enjoy a coffee with a dessert (e.g. panna cotta), a glass of wine with an Italian dish or simply a plate of antipasti. Reservations are taken, but the restaurant - and therefore the bar - closes at 20:00 from Monday to Wednesday.
