I never believed that rowing would give me a relaxing mood instead of muscular fatigue -- until one day I tried rowing in the river Nile with Zamalek Kayak's team in Cairo.
Zamalek Kayak provides a unique rowing experience in the river Nile, with their small boats and life jackets. It is completely safe and no previous experience of rowing is required. I just had brief instructions about how to row, navigate and put a life jacket on, then I jumped into my kayak boat and started rowing.
An unbelievable feeling of joy possessed me when I started rowing in the longest river in the world. I felt like I was controlling the Nile, not navigating the boat. The quiet atmosphere of the Nile at that time (one hour before sunset) intensified the relaxing mood for me.
Zamalek Kayak provides pre-scheduled rides for groups every day. You have to call beforehand to make a reservation for the following day, if there's an event planned. For me, it is the best activity anyone can have in the river Nile.
