Where I go to clear my mind whenever I feel stressed or depressed? Here’s where I go.
This is a spot where I find myself, and it’s where you can find yours, too. I go there once a week, maybe more, it depends on what’s going on during the week. Some work stress or personal stuff, whatever goes on in my mind, I need to get rid of it now, never later.
A few minutes by the Nile river can make a whole difference for me. It’s simply the atmosphere around. Standing near the trees watching the duck gangs going around, if I’m lucky, with the sound of birds merging with the sound of the river... what a mix!
To me, as a Cairo citizen, the river is my ocean. I do respect it and I’m grateful to have it as the base of our civilization. So why do I need to go to a therapist when I’ve the Nile? It’s just me and the river, where all the secrets go, and the dreams come true.
