It's obvious that Cairo has a great many attractive restaurants on the Nile. For me, Latino Café and restaurant on Dokki would be my favorite choice for outdoor gatherings. There are plenty of reasons for saying that. For example: it's only one branch; it has a huge space and a multicultural menu; it's ready for serving groups and parties; it serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and drinks, and it's suitable for summer as well as winter.
In Latino, I was completely satisfied with the view directly on the Nile with too many options outdoor or indoor with windows. During my last visit, I noticed many Arabic groups or families that were enjoying their time, while another group was celebrating a birthday. Moreover, it’s a very good option for watching football matches, as it has more than 6 or 7 TV screens.
As I mentioned before, the menu includes a big variety of items that represent different food styles especially Arabic, Egyptian and Italian. I will just mention my favorite plate: the meat with cherry sauce, because it was my first time to try something like this in Cairo. I really enjoyed this mix with a lot of cherries with the beef. For the sweets, I would go for the ice cream with Konafa.
Just remember to take some photos of the Cairo tower, which is very close to the restaurant, during sunset.
