And again, post-covid, almost two years later, the experience is as astonishing as it ever was!
Summer 2018. Α friend was visiting Cairo, and us being football enthusiasts, and crack a couple of beers over it. We are very selective when it comes to cheering for our favorite teams, hence we kept looking for a quiet, refreshing place that'd be ready to adopt us, with no judgy eyes. We kept failing & had decided to livestream the matches & surrender to the fact that no place was good enough, till we bumped into BOB’s.
Located in the heart of Heliopolis, we managed to spot a gem that was darkish & woody. We knocked on the door and respectfully asked if we could have a table. Yes, there was a door. It was a very classified place, where you need to make a reservation ahead & abide by the rules if you fancied spending some time there.
One of the bartenders opened the door with a smile, showing us to our table, while we were all eyes on the high-ceilinged screens, following up on what we'd missed. We spent one of the most amazing nights there, had a couple of tasty appetizers & felt cozy, almost like we were home.
Besides the convenience, the price list was affordable & the energy of the place adapts to whatever is needed when you decide to escape the loudness & crowds of Cairo.
Luckily enough, the hidden gem is located near my office & my home, meaning that fate has decided to pleasure me with such a place.
