If you’re a digital nomad, freelance writer, or coffee shop enthusiast exploring the neighborhoods north of Boston, I highly recommend spending part of your afternoon chilling out at True Grounds in Ball Square.
This little shop is right around the corner from my apartment and it is my favorite place to work on my writing. On a chilly autumn day I love nothing more than packing up my laptop just before lunch and walking over to True Grounds. I order their Mediterranean sandwich—hummus and grilled veg on whole grain bread—and a cappuccino and nestle into the back row of tables.
With my laptop set up, I can happily sit here, sipping on my gourmet coffee, surrounded by the soft murmur of coffee shop conversations, and work on my stories, my essays, my blog, whatever.
Their sandwiches are great, the coffee is top rate, and the walls are adorned with art. It’s warm, cozy, and the perfect escape for a rainy afternoon.
