Good chocolate is a blessing. So when I find a place that takes its chocolate seriously, I thank my lucky stars and hope that nobody else ever discovers my secret. But L.A. Burdick is a secret worth sharing. Tucked away on Brattle Street in Cambridge, their hot chocolate is one of the best I've tasted in all of Boston. And the hero in their hot chocolate is... well, the chocolate??? Sourced from different countries in Latin and South America, L.A. Burdick's dedication towards quality ingredients is evident in their delicious pastries and sipping chocolates.
Aside from hot chocolate, their cafe menu includes a number of pastries, teas, and coffees. They are also chocolatiers, and one can also find cocoa nibs, chocolate chips, chocolate powder, bon bons and other chocolate-related gift items in their cafes. After showing Harvard University to friends and family visiting Boston, I invariably find myself stopping at L.A. Burdick. And with every visit, and each sip, I know I'm in chocolate heaven.
