From time to time, I indulge myself in this cute cafe that used to be a traditional old pharmacy, right in the epicurean center of Berlin Schöneberg, just below Winterfelderplatz,
Even though I'm not so much into coffee, I succumbed to its overestimated charm because of the social symbology behind it.
When I was living in Barcelona, my first stable job was in a small web design studio. One day the receptionist asked me if I wanted to go out with her for a coffee after work. I told her I didn't drink coffee, and she first turned pale, then red with embarrassment, and never talked to me again!
Some years later, a girl I had just met texted me on a rainy Sunday to ask me if I wanted to have a coffee at her place. With the previous experience, I told myself that I had to investigate more in-depth what all the buzz around coffee was. When I arrived, she opened the door with a glass of wine and wearing her pijamas with no underwear.
The good thing is that Winterfeldt Schokoladen not only offers coffee, but also chocolates and some sweets treats. My choice is usually the shamanic vegan chilli caca0.
