Whenever I want to impress anybody with a cocktail bar, I go to Stagger Lee. I am not exaggerating. All in all I think Stagger Lee offers one of the best bar experiences in Berlin. It all begins at the front door, where you have to ring the doorbell to get in. There is no screening to be afraid of, but it may take a couple of minutes for the bartender to open.
The interior I think is best described as a Western-style saloon. Dim lighting, large leather couches and armchairs, dark wooden floor, swinging doors, Western music and one of those vintage cash registers perched at the end of the bar all create a comfy and unique atmosphere. The bar is divided into two parts, one of which is a dedicated smoker's area. They are not always strict about this separation, though, and sometimes you will see people smoking in the other area as well. It is just the way it is.
All cocktails I have had there were well balanced and as you can see from the picture, some of them are served in pretty unusual glasses. Be prepared to pay about 9-15€ per cocktail. One of my all time favourites is "Alabama Song", however you should definitely give their seasonal drinks a closer look.
