Every time I travel to a new place, if I want to buy something to remind me of the place, or if I need to buy gifts, I immediately head out to the local shops. I think I gave up souvenirs years ago.
One of the shops I found when I first moved here was Olokuti. It is located in the Gracia neighbourhood. It is a local project that promotes sustainability. They offer ecological products at reasonable prices that are also locally made. In this shop, you can find anything from clothes and accessories to home decorations to makeup and everyday products.
They have two different spots in the city but this one is more special since it has a big garden inside. All you have to do is walk until the end of the store and you will end up in this beautiful garden with cute little tables and chairs. You can bring a book with you or you can buy one in the store too. They have a great selection, I especially like the ones they have on feminism. Unfortunately, you cannot bring your own food and drinks in the garden, but you can always buy something from the store.
