If there is one place I'd pick for the ultimate comfort food, it is definitely Gringa. These guys just do everything right, from food to feelings... Let me explain!
The food. What do you think of when you want something comforting? Burgers? Tacos? Pancakes? The Californian kitchen of Gringa has it all! For brunch they have the best fried chicken sandwich in town and I have yet to try their pancakes but I have heard they are mind-blowing. The burgers at night are juicy, classic and comforting. The evening menu also offers tacos. And then there is the dessert. Honestly, I could not stop talking about their freshly baked chocolate chip dessert with peanut butter ice cream after tasting it. I could dedicate this whole article to just that...
I won't. Just go and order it so I have space to explain what makes the place so cool. Because Gringa is not just the food. It's the whole concept.
The weekend brunch is called "Walk of Shame Brunch" and is the ultimate, heavy, anti -hangover food. Best cure for your morning after party remorse. On Tuesdays they have a hip hop burger night. A DJ is juking the best 90s hip hop while you can enjoy a cheeseburger for only 4 euros! And Thursday is for tacos... what's not to love about that?
These concepts, along with the great quality food and lovely service, make Gringa an unique experience in Barcelona; Californian cool right in the heart of edgy Raval.
