Local Hero Amsterdam
My all-day brunch!
Local Hero is a spot in Amsterdam West that offers an all-day brunch menu! What can be better than that? As a person who loves lazy Saturday mornings, I have always struggled with getting brunch at 11:00, so Local Hero has been my little discovery. During the weekends, it is possible to get a table on their sunny terrace. I quite like its vibe with yellow tables and benches.
Among other items, at Local Hero, it is possible to grab a coffee and get yogurt with granola, egg dishes, or waffles. My personal favorite is the waffle with salmon and egg, which I find very well-balanced and different than the usual eggs Benedict.
As opposed to many Dutch places in Amsterdam, here you cannot book a table. Simply walk in and most of the time you should be lucky enough to get a spot. After your brunch, I recommend a walk in the underrated Erasmuspark just a few minutes away.
