Renfrew Ferry Glasgow

Eat and drink afloat

""Renfrew Ferry" in Glasgow used to carry passengers and vehicles across the River Clyde. Now it's a gig and club venue, great for a bite & drink."

This old ferry used to carry passengers and vehicles across the River Clyde before the Kingston bridge and the Clyde Tunnel were built. Now it serves as a gig and club venue and is a great place to eat and drink on a sunny afternoon. Stroll west from the city centre along the waterfront and you'll find The Ferry on Anderston Quay.

Food is served from noon to 18:30 and there's a huge selection to choose from on the menu whether you want a snack or three course meal. It's reasonably priced and the staff are friendly, but the best thing about The Ferry is the location. As far as I know, it's the only floating restaurant in the city and if you're lucky enough to be in Glasgow when the sun is out, it's a great place to chill out away from the city centre.

Check out the website for details of gigs and club nights. They host an eclectic range of music from tribute bands to techno DJs. You can reserve a table on the Top Deck restaurant for a meal before a show.
